TUDOR Pelagos: A Superior Diving Watch
The TUDOR Pelagos is the perfect companion for adventures down to greatest depths as it is water-resistant to 500 meters. In fact, this professional titanium watch is one of the most sophisticated mechanical diving watches on the market today. The TUDOR Pelagos is also a prime example of a modern toolwatch that is entirely focused on function. There are three models are available, one with a blue dial, one with a black dial, and the TUDOR Pelagos LHD, which is a left-handed model.
For Ambitious Dives and Adventures of Any Kind
The dial on the TUDOR Pelagos has large square hour markers that, together with a large amount of phosphorescent luminous material, provide excellent contrast. The hour hand, with its characteristic square-shaped tip, enables the wearer to distinguish it from the minute hand at a glance. Collectors affectionately call this detail, which is characteristic of all TUDOR diving watches produced after 1969, the “snowflake”. The case is made of robust and lightweight titanium and is equipped with a helium valve for saturation diving. The ceramic dial of the titanium bezel, which can be rotated in one direction, bears luminous hour markers that make all of the most important information very easy to read, even in the most challenging conditions. The Pelagos sits on a titanium strap with a stainless steel folding clasp that is equipped with a spring mechanism that is developed and patented by TUDOR. Thanks to this technically sophisticated system, the bracelet adjusts to your wrist during the dive by contracting as the diving suit compresses and tightens due to depth. When the pressure decreases during your ascent, it expands again. The Pelagos also comes with an additional rubber strap with an extension system for your convenience.
A State of the Art Caliber
The TUDOR MT5612 caliber with automatic winding and innovative silicon spring is well protected inside the TUDOR Pelagos. Thanks to its power reserve of around 70 hours, the wearer can take the watch off on Friday evening, for example, and put it back on on Monday morning without having to wind it up. The movement is certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC).
